Orientation Day

"I've seen a little bit of the info, this wasn't my highest paying offer. Just the most interesting." She found a seat, and flopped down leaning back "it sounds like it might be true."

After a few moments, the recruits began to hear a quiet but high pitched whirring. Some looked up and saw that the projection device warming up. They all heard the footsteps coming from outside the room.

"Well, I wonder who that could be..." Lamaar said to Barbara.

A door opened and 2 men walked in and stood on either side of the of the desk the man on the left walked forward "Welcome to venn co. recruits my name is Dante and this is Travis." he said motioning to the second man "If my friend here will start us off we can begin."

The other man stepped forward. "Good morning, and welcome." He said, "Anyway. This," he motioned around to signify the building. The ceiling device projected a large V onto the wall. "is Venn Co. At Venn Co, there are currently five different positions for new recruits such as yourselves, and you've no doubt already applied for one and been approved. Now, some people ask what exactly we do here. Well, we have many divisions, and all of them carry out different types of research, development, social, economic duties, etcetera . The most notable of which being our Anomalous Research and Experimental Technologies division, nicknamed... Well really we should probably discuss the history of the company. why don't you take it from here, Dante?"

"Thank you Travis, now here at Venn co we pride ourselves with a rich history of work. We have been around for a long time and have been behind such things as the hindenberg. The failure was not our fault. that has to do with our founders who belive it or not are....." Dante was interuppted by a siren and a new image flashed on the wall "Oh? not good suppose Travis?"

"Yay, we get to leave..."

The image that flashed upon the screen appeared to be a series of hexagons, with one as a center, and one at each side. The top shape was lit with a neon yellow, and text underneath read 'ALERT, LEVEL 1'.
"Huh?" he looked at the wall, then heard a beep and quickly donned an earpiece he took from his pocket After a moment he said to Dante, "The genetics and mutations lab has a crisis, something busted and most of the floor is flooded with FEV... Think it might be a good idea to take them along for some firsthand training?"

"Equipment lockers this way people," the girl lead the way...

"Also travis did you bring your eqipment with you today?"

"Well, I've got my repair tools, but other than that, no." He turned to the recruits. "Alright employees, we'll get you fitted with some equipment and you can handle this under our supervision as a training exorcise. Follow Alyx there, and we'll meet with you shortly."

"Well, then, this ought to be interesting... I wonder what FEV is?"

"Forced Evolutionary Virus... I've been telling them to burn the damn things for a while now..." she opened a door to a locker room...

"Er... Forced evolution...? This sounds bad now...

"Aim for the eyes!"

"Okay, so what the hells really going on. and if its that bad shoulden't you be handing out guns or some shit? otherwise what am I supposed to be aiming for the eyes with a stapler?"

She rolled her eyes, and knocked on the nearest locker, then opened it, showing two pistols and a few dozen clips, "Yup... What's your name, anyway?"

"I'm Jess, the one who got the choice to work here or you'd call the police..."
((H4xx0red her way in, and got detected well afterward))

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

"That somebody up theres either impressed with what I can do...or wants to keep a close eye on me...I'm the one who crashed your server last year."

"Our servers didn't crash last year..."

((Do I get weapons too, or...?)

((Yes. Especially seeing as there are two player characters and at least two weapons.))
